E-signatures are recognised in the US under the E-SIGN Act. Standard tools: DocuSign, Adobe Sign, HelloSign. For client portals we typically wire into an e-sign API for engagement letters. Always preserve the audit trail — timestamp, IP, method — separately from the document.
